Digital Opps: Amer Sports names new top marketer

Opportunity: After its top marketing executive, Victor Duran, resigned to become CEO of Intersport International, Amer Sports has promoted Michael White to chief commercial officer. In this role, White will add global B2C and go-to-market marketing responsibilities to his current role as chief sales officer and GM for Europe, Middle East and Africa. The company also recently promoted Evin Catlett as global digital marketing manager over all brands, so digital sellers should be reaching out now to secure business ahead of the winter sports season. This is doubly true since Heikki Norta joined the company as chief digital officer last fall (more here).
Amer CEO Heikki Takala stated: “Combining out go-to-market under one leadership will enable us to accelerate with further scale and synergies in our commercial operations.” Therefore, expect spending increases to be a possibility in the back half of the year.
