Stark-Flora is the former global marketing SVP for Estee Lauder and brings to the Philosophy brand experience in brand creation, marketing, strategic planning and creative direction. Stark-Flora joins after Simona Cattaneo came aboard as CMO for the luxury division in April (more Zenith taking the lead for its current brands, as well as those beauty brands acquired from P&G. So while media may not be on the table, new DMs could signal that a creative review is on the horizon.
Sellers - Philosophy is not currently a huge ad spender, and allocates most of its dollars to digital desktop ads, as well as sponsored content. Continue to look for dollars in these channels, but don't discount the possibility that more ad spend (in more traditional channels) could be slated for the future.
This is especially true since Philosophy already employs print media as a large portion of its budget, so TV could possibly be next. Millennial female-focused sellers will find revenue here, particularly those that target these women who have some disposable income. But keep in mind that Ellen Pompeo (of Grey's Anatomy) is featured in recently online videos touting the brand as a must-have for women entering middle age.

Digital Breakdown: According to Pathmatics, Philosophy has spent $78,700 on desktop ads so far this year. These four ads have garnered 14.3 million impressions for the brand and ran mostly in May and June. The majority of these ads - 98% - were placed site direct, while the others were placed through Mode Media (1%) and The Trade Desk (<1%). Top ad destinations for the brand include amazon.com, hollywoodlife.com, thesimsresource.com, rubistar.4teachers.org and blackgirllonghair.com.
Philosophy has spent more than twice this on online video ads this year - $217,000 (seven ads; 15.4 million impressions). Most of these video ads ran in April and August and 70% were placed through Google AdX + AdSense. The rest went through Teads ad network (23%) or site direct (7%). Top ad destinations include youtube.com, weheartit.vom, sheknows.com, lifescript.com and lifeandstylemag.com.
Philsophy has also spent $6000 on mobile ads this year (832,000 impressions) and has run three pieces of sponsored content through Yahoo! Content Network.
