Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath unit makes major executive shifts
Jacuzzi Brands Inc. announced a major executive shift in its Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath segment, and has appointed Robert Rowan to lead the business unit as its new president, according to the company
The Chino, Calif.-based company’s latest marketing appointments include Drew Meng as the new vice president of marketing, product and channel; William Smelley as senior director of e-Marketing; Tracine Andrus as director of marketing for baths and Dawn Wells as director of marketing, communications and strategy.
Additional executive shifts with no marketing affiliation include Erica Moir as the new vice president of industrial design and new product engineering; Dane Parreira as the new eastern region sales manager; Andy Stokely as manager of product training and wholesale channel and Dale Carruthers as the new product manager for showers, faucets and china.
Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath is credited with the invention of the first whirlpool bath, and has since become a globally-recognized brand of whirlpool baths. The company’s product line includes whirlpool baths, soaking baths, shower systems and toilet suites.
Wells will define and execute Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath
’s North American advertising, promotions, events and collateral across all brands and products.
Andrus will be responsible for product marketing and product development direction for Jacuzzi bathtub lines, and Smelley is charged with enhancing Jacuzzi’s Web presence and will attempt to capitalize on customer relationship management opportunities.
At Jacuzzi, Meng will lead the new team of product managers and will act as the middle man between guiding future product directions and deployment. He will report to Chief Marketing Officer Michelle Cervantez.
“As we forge ahead in the luxury market, we will continue to invest manpower and capital to make more resources available for our ongoing marketing initiatives,” President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Koos said in a statement. “These key new hires complement the depth of talent currently on board as we continue to bring new energy to the marketplace.”
According to The List database, San Francisco-based Burson-Marsteller has served as Jacuzzi Brands’ public relations agency of record since 2005, and Seattle-based C Squared Advertising is currently handling some creative advertising for the company. Jacuzzi also relies on its in-house marketing team for some strategy as well.
Company spokesperson Anthony Pasquarelli told WinmoEdge that the company is not looking to hear from additional agencies at this time.
Though Jacuzzi Whirlpool may not be open to hearing from agencies at the moment, according to Pasquarelli, with the new marketing management in place, the company may ramp up efforts in the near future. Interested agencies should definitely put Jacuzzi on a short-term prospect list, and put themselves on the company’s radar as it formulates a campaign strategy moving forward.
