Company: MassMutual Financial Group, one of the largest life insurance companies in the world. It also provides financial products such as long term care insurance, disability income insurance and retirement plan services.
Opportunity: We've learned that IPG's Mullen Lowe, Boston, creative and media AOR, will be off the account by the end of November. As of now, we're told this work is moving in-house, making it highly likely that creative and media reviews should begin shortly, if a long list isn't being assembled already. So, agencies with the capabilities to handle this large financial services account should start engaging decision makers now.
Sellers - start reaching out to in-house DMs since there's no point chasing 2017 revenue at Mullen Lowe anymore. Either the account stays in-house, or, much more likely, MassMutual execs will alert you when a new agency wins the account. Also, it's always good to be top-of-mind with the people controlling budget - not just the agency intermediaries. Keep in mind that TV spending skyrocketed this year, a trend that will hopefully continue in 2017.

Top targeted sites have included nba.com, inc.com, huffingtonpost.com, morningstar.com, bet.com, businessinsider.com, manta.com and money.cnn.com.
Combined, only about $100,000 has garnered 15 million mobile and video impressions (heavier mobile skew). Mobile is running on many of the same desktop partners, such as manta.com, businessinsider.com, nba.com and inc.com.
Video has run mainly on huffingtonpost.com, univision.com and stack.com.
