Campaign Imminent: QuikTrip moving creative, media to VML

Opportunity: WPP’s VML, Kansas City has been hired as creative and media AOR, effective May 2. Therefore, sellers should start making introductions to VML so they’ll be notified when staff transition to the account and planning discussions are ready to begin. For now,  inquiries are being directed to Kristen Sikorski, channel supervisor. Q3 is traditionally QuikTrip’s top advertising period to reach drivers during peak travel season, so look for a new campaign to break then.

Outdoor, radio and spot TV historically make up the bulk of QuikTrip’s ad budget. But keep in mind that direct response mobile and video display activity has been higher the past year. It’s likely this trend will continue given the high ROI benefits of using mobile to reach specific types of millennial drivers at the right time.
