Sellers - with new campaigns on the way from the Omnicom agency, start going after this new campaign revenue now. Female-focused sellers should focus more on the appliance site, while male-focused sellers should target TV decision makers. Look for budgets to be substantial, especially on the digital side, since outlays have already been way up this year to take advantage of favorable trends in the home improvement/upgrade category.

Center your pitch on spring/summer, typically the top advertising period in this category. Look for a big Fourth of July campaign, in particular. Publicis's Starcom, NYC is on media planning and buying.

TV Breakdown: $34.5 million has gone to national TV ads the last 12 months (see targeting right), up from $25.6 million during the same period a year earlier. In fact, national TV didn't begin last year until May, when a cute and relatable celebrity couple returned for another marketing campaign.
