Digital sellers - this is the best of both words. New campaign dollars should be available (more info below) and you likely won't have to waste time engaging new agency contacts to secure revenue. With Qualcomm largely abandoning efforts to become the Intel of smartphones, continue to focus on B2B engagement, which should open revenue for IT and business decision maker-focused sellers (tech, news, finance pubs).

Opportunity: B2C campaign that appears to not have provided desired returns. I can't imagine why since so many mass consumers are concerned with the tech powering their phones. 

So, with Qualcomm Neo@OgilvyOne, according to Winmo. 

Agencies - with the review already well underway, creative shops shouldn't waste their energy here. But, media agencies should make sure they're top-of-mind since media reviews often follow creative, and vice versa. 

Additional Insight

Incumbent: Creative AOR Omnicom's DDB, SF is defending. 

Media Spend: $7.3 million was spent on measured media last year, a huge increase from approximately $1 million in 2014. The bulk of spending last year focused magazine ads, followed by display, search, outdoor and broadcast.

Digital Breakdown: Since January, Qualcomm's display presence has been dominated by video (see spend share right), according toPathmatics. About $1.5 million has garnered 63.7 million video impressions, 55% of which were purchased direct from sites such as CBS's cnet.com, theatlantic.com and IDG's pcworld.com and computerworld.com.

Mobile spending has been tiny, but desktop has received $^35,500 for 53.2 million impressions, 87% of which were purchased site direct. About 70% of these impressions came from mashable.com, cnet.com, fivethirtyeight.com, Vox's theverge.com and Conde Nast's wired.com.
