Midwest Media Opps: Belle Tire launches rebrand after naming AOR this summer

Company: Belle Tire, headquartered in Allen Park, Mich. BT is a family-owned network of 98 tire and windshield replacement service centers located throughout Michigan and Ohio.

Opportunity: After naming here). Belle Tire has debuted a new brand position and year-round media strategy. "My Guy" - which launched Oct. 3 - aims to raise brand awareness and affinity while reflecting on the company's 94-year history. According to Don Barnes, president of Belle Tire, "We don't think of My Guy as a campaign. This positioning defines our brand and articulates what Belle Tire has always stood fpr from our beginning right through today."

"My Guy" will run across TV, radio, digital and in-store executions. Specifically, TV will include heavy primetime programming in key Belle Tire markets in Michigan, Indiana and northern Ohio. Additionally, Belle Tire will leverage sponsorships across the Midwest region through sports programming. Digital presence will include advanced targeting strategies through search and social media and Belle Tire is also launching a new website this fiscal year.

Additional Information

Sponsorships: BT currently runs advertising and sponsorship during Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons games on Fox Sports Detroit and recently renewed this relationship. Specifically, its name and logo are featured in telecasts and as part of in-game branding.

Media Spend: According to Kantar Media, BT spent $3.9 million on measured media in 2015.

Digital Breakdown: wndu.com. An additional $3,200 has been spent on mobile ads this year.
